The majority of our mosaic items come from Wayan Suarni and his wife, Sri Pundhu. They live in a small village on an island in Indonesia. They begin with different sizes and shapes of clay bowls, plates or pots. Next they paint sheets of glass in several different colors and let them dry in the sun. Once the paint has dried on the glass, they meticulously cut the glass into small shapes to create a mosaic on the clay pot, bowl or plate by gluing the glass onto the clay. It takes several hours to make one piece.
