Parasite wood carvings showcase the creative imagination of our very talented third world artists. The term "parasite wood" is used for wood (Chinaberry Tree) that has been affected by microorganisms that eat away and destroy a tree. They leave behind limbs that have large mushroom shapes in the areas where the parasites feed.  The artists design animal shapes in and around the mushroom shapes to form one of a kind creations. There are no living parasites on any finished piece. All parasites were gone years ago.
